The Vocational English as a Second Language Course requires 900 Clock Hours over a period of 48 Weeks for about 18.75 hours per week of instruction.
During this process, the Vocational English as a Second Language Course (V-ESL) Instructor prepares non-native students with the necessary language skills and basic information needed to become successful, self-supporting members of society. The program is particularly well suited for students who have basic job skills, but who lack the ability to work in their career fields because of inability to speak English. Graduates acquire sufficient English and job related information to successfully begin work or pursue further education or training. This course is an introduction to the alphabet, occupations, workplaces, rooms and other places, machines, customers, colors, supplies and resources,
time, relationships, and your health and safety.
If you have experience in these procedures as an English Language Instructor and have as a minimum of an associates degree, and enjoy the role in education, this can be a great position for you. This is a part time position and you must commit for the duration of the course of 48 weeks.
