Course Description:
Climate changes challenges governments and companies to prepare sound and effective strategies to limit greenhouse gas emissions, accelerate energy efficiency improvements and increase the use of renewable energy sources. More and more companies are seeing the financial advantages of cutting down on their energy use. There is no doubt that working towards a sustainable energy supply is a strategy that pays off in the long run. However, there are also more immediate benefits that can be achieved right now. These include lower costs and reduced emissions. The focus of interest of the study program is to deal with questions in the context of sustainable environmental development. In particular the perspectives of education, consultation and communication are considered. This seminar focuses on the interdependency of human and natural systems demands an approach which ensures that the complex problems of global change are analyzed in an integrated way from different perspectives and at a variety of levels.
